First gun in a long time. Also my first model in blender, im taking the 'brute force' method of learning where im trying to model something fairly complex while googling for all the tools I need lol
Anyway heres my progress:
(The sharp edges on the back of the slide and the 'curve' on the front of the slide have been fixed, they were from a loop added by mistake)
Heres a problem im also having, I was just going to leave it and paint it out of the normal map but I still want to know what way I should have done it
Replies
now im not the best modeller out there, but tried this?
hit me up on skype if you want to walk through some bits
But yea ill be sure to make note of this haha
I should probably mention now im not going for a 'specific' model 1911, but I like the world war 2 ones because I think the modern ones look like garbage. Im mainly keeping the simple shapes/curves from the ww2 one but incorporating other features I like
I just subbed because I'm curious how the final model will turn out and I also work on a m1911
peace
Im going to be doing a normal sheet for the screws and grips and then just copy and paste it into the normal map
