Hey Polycounters,
I am not the best guy in the world when it comes to texturing and using the material editor, as proud as i was of my last project thinking back it wasn't exactly the most performance conserving project. Huge textures, no clever material setups etc.
Anyway to the point, i am putting together a new project and was wondering if i am right in thinking this. I have some parts of my meshes, walls with windows in, half window and half brick mesh etc. and need to apply a different material to each part like using a cubemap for the windows and regular materialness for the bricks. Can i apply different materials to different parts of a mesh?
You have my thanks

It does incur an extra set of drawcalls though (basically, behind the scenes it splits it into two meshes to render)
