So I never really used ZBrush up until that point and I am sure that what's bothering me is obviously something right there in my face, but I tried to look it up on Google and in here and I found nothing about it. I am terribly sorry if it has already been posted before.
I am working on a ZTool that's divided in a couple of subtools, and only for that ZTool, whenever I use the Clay brush on its parts, it's like a stamp darkens the mesh where I used Clay. If I create a new ZTool with a Sphere or a Cube it's fine, the Clay brush works and it leaves no traces, but on my particular model it does. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? I suspect it's no big deal and it won't impact my sculpt at all but I just find it annoying.

Here's a screenshot to better describe my problem:
