anyways sorry about initial post didnt notice there was a separate thread for something like this
relatively low poly model
right now its roughly at 3k tris
need a bit on critique on the texturing part any suggestions on how to improve it
it was a basic skills test
dont have issues modeling
as for the texturing thinking on how i can improve it more
hmmmm the mouth is partly modeled so that they can open the mouth in game and also the fingers but yeah i know usually for low poly game design tendency the mouth and fingers doesnt need to be modeled
anyways will post some wireframes later
also apologize for earlier forgot to mention a few important details
Theme: Dark Fantasy similar to Dark Souls but doesnt have to exact just use Dark Souls as in inspiration basically a creature that you would probably find in a Dark Fantasy setting kind of game
so when i asked the client if something similar rendering like Dragons Nest or Torchlight handpainted look but darker feel would do...client liked the idea and creature concept

unless you going to dark / fun cartoony storyline route of course.
with that character design ,you wont get darker ...
as for texture, maybe you can draw more bones and horn to make it look scarier?
that way I can actually see ur character.
I can also recommend you look up racer445's texture tuts. They're all over the internet.
