Hey guys, I realised this place is actually full of awesome painters or people who would love to learn it as well
I have a background in 3D (gamey-stuff) and deflected into the world of painting illustration and concept art.
I'm making a tutorial series for marketing and just, fun purposes! I aim to make weekly (or so) episodes and build it up slowly from beginner to advanced! Digital painting/drawing and illustration is in the focus.
I also use my 3D skills in my 2D work sometimes so that might be interesting.
3 episodes so far! I'll update this post as new ones are launched
Feel free to drop comments and suggestions for how I should approach new episodes etc!
Very little audience so far (but rising!) so if you want to keep updated of course subscribe, and a share on FB or something similar would be
incredibly helpful!
EDIT:
Recent episode (to show the people bothered by the audio noise etc, it does get better after a few eps!)

In this one I talk about composition Sharing this (if you liked it/it helped!) would help me in turn build an audience and give me more reason to make more videos, so that would be great!
Enjoy and feel free to leave some feedback in the comments for future videos etc.

Dont forget about those things, they matter :P
Still the information is there and it should help a bit. (if it adds anything at all i'm happy). After all, you don't have to watch it! But thanks for the feedback in any case.
Do you happen to have a downloadable version?
the_Adri: sorry I don't but there are programs to rip videos off of youtube so feel free to use that
Thanks everyone else!
Thanks for these, BTW, they're great!
I subscribed to your channel. =] Looking forward for more.
[edit] If you had a donation link or something I would be willing to donate personally. I think its a great service you are doing to the community and you definitely deserve something for the effort. I realize it would still be charity work on your end, but at least you would get something back for the effort.
Best way to repay me is just taking a few seconds to spread the word in one way or another.
Thanks everyone else, the kind words are really making me eager to output more episodes.

Education is worth value, and its great offering if for free but let people reward you if they wish.
By the way, I could definitely use some tips on what to cover next! I'm hoping to finish the more theoretical videos in about 10-15 episodes, so, is there anything I should really get into first before going into the vast subject of color & light? (which will likely span a few episodes at least)
I'll learn alot from these.
Also what music do you keep playing in these videos?
Haha, the thing is the loop is supposed to be almost too silent to even hear. So your comment made me double check, and on a friends laptop here, I noticed the music appeared WAY more loud than on mine, because my bass on full muted out the sound during editing. So now I know I need to turn off my bass when edit the volume of the background loop, heh.
The wonders of editing!
As for where I got it, not sure, I remember googling "copyright free 8-bit song" or something along those lines.
On warmups, studies and inspiration + some pics of my roadtrip!
Share it with your friends, that would help me out tons!

Art Stuff episode 10 is up! First episode on full-on lighting - talking about some basic light setups. Check it out, might have some info for the more advanced too!

I think I get hung up most on measuring objects and getting the correct perspective, rapid iterations of shapes and what not. I don't like to get hung up for long periods in block out phases. Any tips/suggestions on this subject?
Also since we're on polycount, you probably know 3D. use it! can save a lot of time.
I also use Zbrush a lot for design work (early phases) just because how easy it is to make massive changes in no time.
