I wanted to do some a little bit more stylized stuff, so I found this truly beautiful concept art done by Pascal Casolari and thought I'd give it a try:

Yeah, I see what you mean. I'm not going for an exact replica of the concept though. I just want to built a basic set of models and fool around with them .
Yeah but in the reference, all those green buildings reach the ground. They are not resting on some wooden supportive base like both your buildings do.
Also, your colors are quite muted and gray in comparison to the concept, and you should use some actual reflections for the water. Lastly, I'd recommend adding a few triangles to the wooden pieces to get rid of the super straight edges on the corners.
