Hey folks,
i came across a problem today while converting stuff in maya at work.
i'am modeling car seats for advertising and such and for our pipeline i need to convert my mesh into nurbs. Problem is, when i convert something from subdiv into nurbs, maya always subdivides the whole mesh.
this isnt a problem when i model the stuff myself because i simply reduce my own subdiv by one and its fine, but when i have to work with older stuff, which already is at the desired polycount, i cannot convert it without maya subdividing it again when i convert it into nurbs.
is it somehow possible to convert my highpoly into nurbs without it beeing subdivided again ? maybe with a script or something ?
