Yes, be careful with the color, but do not forget about the materials(masks).
gogogo! Do it!
Maybe twist word-lines on the scroll? Or get them more chaos and rhythm...at a distance, they merge into a clear lines.
opened my 3dmax items file, imported the fbx scenes which turns out smaller than my objects, rescaled my objects to the bones and then skinned and exported to fbx, and after import it is of a smaller scale.... must have been something to do with the scaling of my items...hmm anyone else encountered similar problems?:poly105:
I'd say keep the colors more muted, go for a dirty, faded maroon. I really like this, except the weapon. I get the base idea, but it just doesn't look good, it looks like a bouquet of roses, not a magic scroll. The top part expands too much, instead of having it blossom like that, I'd suggest a more standard cylindrical shape. Actually, what do you think of placing it inside of a scroll tube, and having the glowing scroll exposed on the uncapped end, where the weapon head is?
@humblerbee: yea, went for a toned down version instead, was testing out the different colors earlier on, and on the weapon, yea that would have been cool too!:)
@leshiy: was worried that chaotic might turn out to become visual noise instead when it becomes so small, hence having them merge into lines when far away would be better perhaps:)
and viola! solved the silly scale issue on the import, but the import function doesn't allow for a preview of all items attached all at once
anyway this is it!:D
