Creating brushes vs just attaching the alpha to a premade brush

[FONT=&amp]I've never created a brush but I have created an alpha so I'm just trying to clarify the difference between creating an alpha and using that under let's say the Standard brush versus saving the alpha as its own brush. I understand how to make the brush specifically; however, I'm overanalyzing the necessity to save the alpha as a brush preset when you could just apply the alpha to any other premade brush. I'm pretty sure it has to do with editing and saving the parameters of the brush (curvature, stroke type, intensity, etc) instead of having to re-edit every time ZBrush relaunches? Enlighten me pleeeeeease

Well there ya go haha. New I was over thinking. Thanks cryrid. Do you also know how to change the interface colors from orange?

Yup, that's under the Preferences: Icolors subpalette. You can click on the corresponding button (SW1 and SW2 in this case), and while holding down the mouse button, move your cursor over the desired color that you want, similar you how you'd change the document color.
