Does zbrush have the ability to export PRTpn maps? More specifically from a 2.5d tiled texture.
I ask because that map has proven to be invaluable when making current gen textures. Using the green channel from the PRTp map does practically all of the lighting work, as laid out by Choco.

I would suggest to experiment with the matcaps. I usually extract the sketch gummy matcap which gives good results when used as an overlay layer in photoshop.
I honestly wish I didn't totally suck at zbrush, its interface is so strange. It's going to take quite some time to learn it. :[
I guess can be more easily way to make that ; You can just put a plane in front of and bake all in Xn
So as long as you're okay with straight up top-down lighting, it's awesome.
I was wondering about your setup. Doesn't the carvature map need to
be placed on top of the AO?? Or is this because you are using 50% gray?
I thought you would lose more detail on the edges as you have AO on top of the stack. Thanks for the info and setup.
I would work on a copy of your document and the canvas has to be 1 layer to work but it saves the headache of painting out the seam.
