Fiddling with Normal Maps

I made this box in Max and used nDo to make the normal map out of the bump map. Its kind of my first time messing around with creating normal maps. Anything I can do to beef it up? Tips and tricks would be much appreciated.

Normal maps need lighting to be pronounced. Your lighting is very flat in your images, thus, flat normal maps.
