[Dota2] - Sand King - Antlion of the Oasis

Hi everyone! Decided to make a thread before it's to late

I've chosen the mighty sand king. At first the idea popped up to make a sand queen, less robust, more curves. But then I heard the Kings mighty voice. So a feminine design was a definite no go. I'll leave this one blank to post the latest update, it'll be easier for you guys

Here are some images to create some mood and show you a bit the direction I'm going at.

Started blocking him out in zbrush, the main thing that changed is the head, and some small wings. They might get smaller, but I'm still testing the silhouette and stuff. The legs and tail will resemble the ones the stick insect has in the middle of my moodboard.

Critiques are more than welcome

EDIT: Changed the tail. I added a stinger in between the two lids at the end, to make him a little more scorpion like.

AYOOOOO! Have some sculpts! Changed everything a bit, the only thing I haven't touched are the legs.

I'm going for a full set so those will need to be crunched out too
The tail is almost done (will give them some rest so I wont get to used to them) and i'll probably add some bits and bubbles on the rest of the design.

The tail looks awesome! The legs are still a bit too early to comment on, but already loving the form of the head. Carry on!

Lookin' good. The more organic/homogeneous type heroes (Nyx Assassin/Puck/Sand King/Venomancer/Broodmother) in this game definitely seem harder to implement items for but this looks unique and interesting for Sand King. Great shapes, can't wait to see the final product!

Darn, pretty bummed you weren't able to finish this on time. Hope you come back to it sometime, really enjoy it compared to all of the other 'armor heavy' sets I've seen for Sandking. Changing his appearance while keeping him recognizable was much more interesting to me. Cheers
