Hey everyone,
I'm making the jump from Unreal to CryENGINE for a new project I'm working one. One of the most frustrating aspects of Cry's particle editor is the preview window. Most importantly, I'm looking to change the background color but can't find a way. Does anyone know if this is possible?
I'm also used to have a better particle count inside the preview window. I know you can use the stat command in the console, but that displays counts for ALL the particles in the level. Does anyone know if there's a way to display better stats?
Thanks in advance!

From my experience with it, I simply disregard the preview window entirely, as it never shows an accurate representation of what your effect will end up looking like (For me it screws with the opacity, and the preview camera is surprisingly difficult to control)
What I'd do is load up a test level and drag your particle into it (be sure to set the pulse time in the particle's attributes, that way it will repeat forever and you can watch what your changes in the editor do to it) What's also nice about having your effect in a level is that then you can better see how it looks in context, as opposed to having it hovering in a void.
Drag particles do the editor and preview on map.
Also before you ask, some options simply doesn't work. Like orbit. There is no tracer particle (tracers are made in game code). You can't change particle orientation as well. It's always up.
Particles in Sandbox are very cool, to the time you try do something more fancy than explosion, fire or waterfall. Then problems start arise one after another.
