Really nice environement, looking forward to it. I'd maybe add a bit of foliage somewhere, i feel like it misses one color. Also, you have a bit of a blue light on the right part near the tower, wich makes it have a cool look and feel like there is some kind of magic coming from under there, maybe put some of it on the left too?
Last thing is about the gear, wich is not really round, you should take care of it.
Thats a really interesting character design, Keep up the great work! I also agree with Starboxx about the blue areas.
The concept environment looks great but I feel like it could be a bit more cohesive. The character has a mechanical/magical hybrid feel, for me it would pull things together more to emphasize the "glowing magical bus lines" theme in the gears and piping on the left side of the concept. Aside form that it looks excellent.
Really nice color balance, and as I said: Fan of your tree render on the right.
The little problem is that your "tree-portal-gate" is much less bumpy.
There's no big volume or sharp highlight on it, compares to the tree on the right.
As if it doesn't have normal and specular maps
I completely agree with Ulrick, the right tree is awesome, and completely overpowers the tree gate, which in sense should be one of the focal points. I think it could use some tweaking from the concept. I feel since it is more of a gate, that it should symbolize more in the scene. I think if you enlarged it a little bit more, and pushed the shapes a little more, it could be really awesome.
I LOVE this scene though... oh so very much. Mad jealous of the concept It has ridiculous amounts of character and personality potential for a 3D conversion. Cant wait to see where this goes!
This is looking great and I'm loving the texture detail. But I think that tree need to bend more to suit the over exaggerated proportation of the concept.
This is probably the last time I update this environment
I try to correct every things you notice previously.
The twisted bricks, I blend the tree a little more, I've also make the scene brighter and add a outline to have a stronger cartoon render (Marmoset toolbag is such a great tool !)
Hazardous: I've done this for you but the result is not that interesting without dynamic light
Without and with normal maps
I wish the scene was a touch brighter to better show off your textures. youll notice inthe concept the door is pushing a light more light out. in the model the light is pretty much limited to things really close to the opening.
I don't quite agree, mau, as the last image definitely shows a difference between left and right. Creases in particular are a lot stronger on the right-hand image, which I presume is the one with normals.

I've retake a little the concept, but I don't want to push it too further it's just to help me starting mod.
I'll post WIP of 3D in few days
Here some new :
Still lot to do

I've done some retakes, in particular on the door like you suggested and add some light (wip)
I have to retake gear and towers, add some dirt&grass and more stuffs like that ... stay thune
can you show your texture maps off the enviro?
Di$array: thx you're right I'll try to blend it a little more
LuCh! :thx , Here some textures maps :
Bricks in the back towers look stretched a bit. Otherwise great job on this. Love the style.
