Since I am terrible at concept I went right into the 3D, getting inspired as I modelled.
This is what I have so far

The bracers are solid, not cloth, and are meant for stabbing, or ripping one's entrails from the stomach right up to the heart :poly121:

part of ta's design shtick is the asymmetry in her hair, shoulders arms etc etc
Its not uncommon for a custom item set to break with things like the symmetry in the normal design while still adhering to the hero's theme.
I have been struggling with the colour scheme a lot, and the one I am most satisfied with is the following:

I am learning so much with this contest, I have created a proper render for the first time!
Now I am off to try and understand how to publish it the right way for the contest.
I've been searching for a good Maya character rendering tutorial for a while, I was really happy when I found and got this one
I did not follow every step as some of them were more directed at high poly rendering, but it really helped me understand the process.
