Reporting to the Art Director, the Graphic Designer will design in-game UI and Front End elements plus other graphical elements including 3D elements for all player interaction screens.
Responsibilities:- Conceptualize, design and produce materials in support of art department needs
- Prepare files for implantation into the game engine
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all materials are working properly with the design of the game and up to engineering standards
- Requirements
- Ability to turn concepts into fully rendered solutions
- Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
- Strong typographic skills
- Knowledge of gaming industry trends and design experience preferred
- Understanding of game design practices and playability of games preferred
- Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Experience with Adobe After Effects a plus
- Strong knowledge of texture use with font and graphic design elements
- Strong knowledge of animation and film
- Ability to stick with a predetermined style and follow it through all aspects of production
- Strong knowledge of Photoshop, especially in regards to hand painting alphas, custom brushes and layer usage
- Ability to self manage and backup work so that it is understandable and usable by others on the team
Education and Experience:
- 3-5 years experience in online and print design
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Rich experience with social networks, social media tools and online communities
