Woo, jumping in pretty late to the competition. This should be fun, nothing like a little crunch.
I'm doing an item set for Phantom lancer based around the idea of armoring him up a bit. I'd like to lean it more towards realistic plate armor while also keeping the fantastic stylized feeling the game has. Metal, cloth, and fine engravings is the jist of it.
I've gotten some stuff down but I'm not a terribly great conceptor so I'm going to spend another day or so trying to find a cohesive design. I may just jump into maya and start blocking though.
I'm leaning towards something like 3, 1, and 4 but it's pretty crap at the moment so I'm probably going to iterate on that for a bit and try to make it make some sense.
Let me know what you think, I've got a lot of work to do. :0

Although I would say full clothing might be a bit dificult to pull off due to the low polycount of each item.
I still want some cloth, just need to be careful.
Weapons too.
