HUSKAR INFERNAL AFFAIR SET
Contributers: Brandon Kern (FractaL) and Ben Henry (SNIPA/BenHenry)
Hey everyone, we've decided to create a new thread for our contribution to the DOTA 2 workshop! We have chosen a demonic theme for our armor and weapons in this set in order to have it relate to Huskar's Lore. The concept of Huskar allying with a demonic entity is what inspired this set.

Okay so this may be unfolding at a kinda slow pace, but here's an update either way. I'm still doing some more concepting and Ben has already started to model the bracers, which look amazing, but I forgot to ask him for a screen shot. At this point he's doing the high poly in max and zbrush. Heres a picture:

So, I've done a few different iterations of my original design the past couple of days, and I have finally come up with a nice concept for the head and the shoulders! I've gotta give thanks to someone in the Polycount google hangout who sorta game me some direction. Heres a picture:

I've been pretty busy with work and school the past 2 days. Finally got a nice start for the concept! I'm gonna try and finish the set of armor tonight and work on the weapons tomorrow. Mind you, this is a bit on the simplistic side. I will most likely improve upon this, and or add something more to it when modeling and texturing. Perhaps my palette is just too bland! I'm gonna see what else I can do with this thing.

Still trying to come up with a more solid concept. Talking to my friends who play a ton of Dota 2 to see what they think would look good on Huskar! So far, the Mayan theme seems pretty concrete, but I need to refine it further.

Rough texture:
Made a little video and changed the material of our bracer. We're also working on the helmet and shoulders now, aswell as the high poly of the weapons.

And here's the high poly oh the shoulder. Still needs a detail and cleanup pass by Ben mind you:
We're nearing completion of the shoulders, we just need to touch it up a tad bit more.
Ben's working on baking out the high poly of the sword, which I'll get him to upload soon.
