For some reason the images don't load for me, the post just appear as empty
Anyway, using some "quote magic" I got to the images in the end.
And how long have you spend on the model before making any posts? Because there is a 5 minute time difference between you first and third post and ... well even you aren't that fast I imagine
Anyway model looking awesome so far, love the concept and your model, so far, is doing it justice.
Just one minor thing I noticed is the fire extinguisher and how it's held in place. Everything is huge and bulky apart from the the structure holding the fire extinguisher in place, compared to the rest it really feels like paper at the moment. Maybe this is a temp thing, but I feel something more beefy would fit the model/concept better.
thanx, so far i spent 2 days on it, this is gonna be the 3rd, i just took few wip shot to show how its building up
yea youre right about that part and the fuel tank as well, both parts are from my old oshkosh model which was my firt hp model lol
im gonna fix it later one
Looks fantastic! And please tell me you're gonna rig it and then show off the transformation...I can imagine it perfectly in my head, that front heavy chunk falling down and opening up...very cool!
Hey Lonewolf! As always killer work! I do have a concern though... My first time coming through the thread a few days ago I didn't take a hard look at everything and honestly I thought the object was 3 -4 ft tall. Running through the second time just now I saw the gas can and fire extinguisher and thought wow... those look small. I think you might be running into a bit of a scale issue from the concept. I don't know exactly what it is though. Some combination between...
- the camera
- edges are a tad bit softer than the concept
- the bolts you modeled seem a tad larger than in the concept
Now you might just be trying to adapt it for game which I understand but just saying that the thing does only feel about 3 - 4 ft tall with miniature props. Could also be too early... ie not all the small details added... and texture details could possibly help.
Regardless... Keep up the good work man. Inspiring to see someone knocking art pieces out one after another.

to be honest it bugs me too, cause this concept is confusing.. in general it looks like realistic vehicle that can be in a size of a small truck but when u look at the details... it makes u think of something in the size of a vacuum cleaner (F.I the big springs)
so right now im at a point that i need to decide whether to go full scale and add some round of smaller details or keep it cute like in the concept
btw, this reminds me alot of LEGO.. maybe that why i love it O_O
The normal map seems to have too much high-frequency noise, although some of that might be due to an odd particle system that appears to be overlaying the image.
