Hai-3D beginner work

Hi everyone. I'm a student starting to dig into 3d. I appreciate any feedback from the people here to get better. If you don't mind, please let me know what your opinions about my work.

Update with maps and render in UDK

Definitely loving this design and silhouette so far the only thing that feels a little odd is the head to body ratio. I think the hilt should be a tad wider so it can support the immense weight of the blade above it.
Also regarding the eye, right now I'm trying to figure out how its staying in place. Is it magical? Perhaps embed it into the stone or add a support, right now if someone swung the weapon I'd imagine it flying off.
