Hey all,
I've been working on this scene for a couple of weeks now, off and on. I'm getting to the point where I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Except I think that light is ugly as hell.
I hate my lighting. lol.
Here is a screengrab from my latest lighting setup in UDK:
and this is what I did in photoshop to replicate what I want, harder darker shadows, more contrast:
This peice is due tomorrow, I have to finish up some last minute normal maps, and assets, put my final pass on all my textures and finish the lighting. Any critiques, suggestions on the lighting, and tips would be much abliged.
Thanks a ton!

My advice, backup your scene, delete all lights, start with a total black scene and reapproach,
Start with one light(the ceiling ones, get it just right, tweak it,then add the rest)i bet within 2 hours you'll get exactly what you wished for!
Try it,youll be amazed ..
With regard to lighting, think about what the scene is meant for. If it's meant to be creepy, use high falloff exponents to make the lights dim (but never dark) and place them low. If it's meant to be clinical and harsh, strong overhead light.
Now that's awesome. Thanks for the link!
