Below are the meshes I am trying to uv-map.
The scale of this thing is not making life easy but I do like a challenge. I have uv mapped the ring / tunnel but adding a normal image map (8192 x 8192) is stretched to oblivion and looks horrific.
So I am wondering if I am biting off more than i can chew or is there a better way to uv map and texture this scene?
I loaded it into unity btw and it looks massive with the fps camera so I dont want to give up on it or scale it down. Any advice would be very very welcome !!!

Try the UV Peeler tool for cylinders and such, works nicely.
Working my way through it (at a snails pace) and the UV Peeler tool is a gift to use.
In experimentation mode for the last 3 weeks now regarding the texturing, will post some screens a.s.a.p.
