Problem applying a Transparency

Hello All,

I am currently modeling an environment scene. I have a shack that I want to add a window with a transparency. I mapped out the UVs and created a PSD file so that I can the color, and bump maps in one file. I also clicked the transparency layer. Once in Photoshop, I added the image of the glass I wanted to use. I reloaded the file in Maya and the color texture is showing up fine, but it is Black where the glass pane should be clear. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks in advance

It sounds like you need to set up the transparency map in Maya. Just saving a psd with opacity won't do it all for you. You need to hook up the map properly in the transparency node. The easiest way would probably be to save out your transparency as a separate map and dump that in the transparency node. There might be a way to isolate a specific layer in a PSD as the transparency map (I know you can do this in max) but that seems like a lot of hassle.
