[Dota2] - Sand King - TBD

I wasn't sure if I wanted to enter this or not, but I've got a bit of spare time, so why not.

I've chosen the Sand King as my hero. My concept for the item set is still a bit fuzzy, but I know I want something with golden armor.

Here's a couple thumbnails for the head item:

2 and 4 are the stronger of the four in my opinion. really nice shapes.

Hm, I think one thing that all of the designs are lacking is Sand King's shit eating grin. Try working the grin onto 2 and 4 to see how they work.

3 and 4 are very intriguing! I'm not too big a fan of the original grin, if I'm being honest, these designs seem to go much more in a badass-gonna-kill-you-with-a-look route which is awesome.

I like 1 and 4, their softness is fascinating for a SandKing, and they even fit with him.

Thanks for the comments everyone. After stepping away from this a bit, I agree 4 is the direction I'll go. I'm hoping to do some iterations on that, and get some other item concepts up soon. I think my focus for items will be:

Head
Shoulders
Claws
Leg armor
Tail (this one could be tricky with how the model is set up)

I really like #3, with glowy eyes tho XD. SK is one of my fav heroes and it lacks some badass items. looking forward to seeing how this turns out!

#4 is pretty cool indeed! You may want to check if the shoulders from #1 would fit nicely with the rest of the fourth head, I think it could work well.

Also, I was just talking with a friend that's into Dota2 and he brought up the fact that you mostly see the backside of sand king. I guess that means the tail should be a higher priority
