Nice concepts, makes a good strong silhouette. You might try and go for a little more detail on the claws and legs though to make it a sharper contrast with the original.
Yeah im hoping that once I take things into Zbrush I can not only add those finer details and stuff to the feet and claws but also push and pull the general shape around to make things differ from the nyx assassin silhouette. But yeah the Nyx assassin deal is definitely in the back of my head atm... Pretty sure a major bit of that is the damn horn.... But maaaaan... horns on bugs just seem so right hahaha
Sure thing Spudnik, here are the wireframes for the model so far. None of the armor sets are optimized for polycount budgets at the moment. Just using them as a base for takin them into Zbrush but heres hopin it might make things easier to read XD
I don't know if you're aware of this but some of the stuff you have in your current mesh is not gonna be visible when your item is equipped. For reference, here's the Sand King base model without any items:
The point being that for your polybudget, remember to include the parts of the original items that you're using in your calculations.
Kageko: Cheers dude! Im pretty much for the most part just winging it as far as the sculpt goes. Ill prolly do a little more work on the head and then perhaps let it sit for awhile before moving onto the back or something and then come back to the head later.

Hey guys! Heres some work on the back armor stuff.... Not quite happy with it yet though. Think im going to keep messing with shapes and forms with the other armor pieces and come back to things as new inspiration hits me hahaha
Heres the latest update. Ive also changed up his current back armor. Im still blocking out most of the forms and havent really gotten into the finer details yet but at this point I just want to get the main shapes out.
Its been a while since my last update. Ive been busy trying to make sure that I wont run into any more issues with the exporting like the whole "back" means "tail" fiasco i kinda ran into hahaha. Ive made a few changes to the sculpt lately in order to actually create somin that fits within the tri count limits. Ive also dropped down some base colors for the textures. I got a couple days to polish this up however... 2moro is the 1st of December... Which where i come from means Crate Day XD... Much beer shall be consumed and very little work shall be accomplished hahaha
