Hey Guys,
I’d really appreciate any feedback or suggestions on how to improve this guy.
The plan for this guy is to have him rigged and textured for a short animation i’m working on.
Here’s a Reference sheet i’ve compiled. He’s based on a Toy from Plaseebo.
Where I'm at right now!
I’m not sure if I’ll need to even attach the chest piece to his torso.
I think this is a decent Base for the body. I’m going to start with the Head, it’s probably the hardest part for me. Getting that tiny swirl at the back of his head will be a challenge.

I wanna get some detail around the rim of his eyes. I’m not sure How to do it and keep it in the mesh... i might just have to extract and divide a new rim and just lay it on top and parent it... Anyways hopefully i get the hands and legs done tomorrow morning.
This is taking much longer then i thought!
The feet are killing me!... Or maybe I’m just tired...
Update! bump map and render testzzzzzzz
Is his head a translucent jelly/gel stress ball like this? Because it should!
It wouldn't be too hard! He has a lot of detail in small spaces because i wasn't too worried, but i kept it as low poly as i could. I'm running against a deadline so maybe later I'll practice with him. (Oh he's for a Film Animation)
@ Aga22
Thanks for the suggestion! His head pops off in the final animation so i think it'll be funny if it looks glued on. I'll see what i can do though!
@ Snader
Oh Snader. That would be a dream! I've been having the roughest time trying to get that effect.
I'm having a bit of a hard time rigging spec on the eyes. The Iris needs to grow but the lights i have now are effecting the whites too much for my liking.
Close up on bump and chest textures!
Now... RIGGING!
still rigging but almost done, just making some blendshapes
