Thanks man, and yeah it was originally it doesn't look as good on the bake as it did the high poly, might blur it a bit on the normals so its not as sharp.
I just saw your entry and like it a lot! Nice to see your character evolved the way it did. Since the character is loosely based on a humanoid creature i think you could look a bit closer to some of the following areas:
This isn't an anatomy contest and you are free to walk a different road like you did with the head and chest, as long as it's intentional.
Hey man, thanks for the advice and it was intentional (not just saying that). I wanted to give him human forms but play about with the anatomy a bit rather than the standard human muscle groups wanted to make certain areas more interesting, well in my eyes anyway. I get bored of sculpting the same shapes all the time but i guess I'll keep improving. Cheers!
Thanks anais, anyways started the diffuse playing about with basic colors at the moment so its nothing special but arghhh cant think of colors to go with at all! Throw in any ideas if you got some.
Also thinking of using an emmisive map for the veins i want em to glow
I like the pants a lot, and the blood on the chest and parasite, but the blood on the rest of the body is overkill in my opinion. You should probably also try to break up the parasite from the body more, with different colors, why not go with something in the style of this:
Blaaah, haven't had any time to work on this will be at it tomorrow i reckon. SO I'll show this old picture pose is shit and its an older version of the texture.
So cool dude.
Maybe the virus thingy should be a bit more shiny and wet, as lotet said.
And please work on the areas/holes the thingy is going in and out of the body, to make this perfect !
looking good dude, only thing I would do is move some of the finger if possible so they are not all on the same position...should be a quick fix that can add a lot
You did it! Well done, it looks really cool. If I could pick out one thing it would be that you could maybe push the contrast in specularity between worm and human flesh a bit more. But that's just nit picking. It looks great.
Mhhh... You just upload your character (might have to create an account if you don't already have one -- it's free), Mixamo's autorigger will rig it automatically for you. Then you pick a Zombie motion from the collection and apply it to the character. Finally, you download it all in the format you want. (Most likely FBX.)
That's it really. Should be very easy, let us know if you are unsure about anything.
