Hey everyone
I've recently started the 3rd year of my BA Games Art course and with it my dissertation. I'm currently researching into my chosen topic and creating a video pitch, I already have a good chunk of research to get me started but thought I'd try and tap into the wealth of knowledge on these forums to.
The dissertation revolves around stylised art, the pipelines studio's follow to create them and the timeless appeal of the final products, games like WoW, Dota2, Borderlands, Wind Waker, TF2 are examples of the type of thing I'm talking about.
Technical papers, blog's, industry talks/lectures/presentations, insightful forum topics this type of stuff is currently the bulk of my research and more of it would be appreciated if anyone knows where to look. Also anything regarding the psychology with stylised art appeal would be a big help.
Thanks in advance anyone who could point in the direction of something helpful

Take a look at Dragon Quest 8 by Level 5 and Naruto by Cyberconnect2, they both emulate an existing well-known artist's styles.
