So here are our first set of ideas displaying luxury in velvet and gold.
More detailed would be showing little gems and seashells sown onto her cloth armour.
We are not sure on this yet so next set will be exploring more plate armour and such.
Enjoy!
I would say E is my favorite but I also really like the armor in C. Tough choice... I think though overall if you want to show off luxurious armor etc, it would be better to show plate armor pieces in stead of decorated cloth since usually, those would be the gem-studded relics we would find irl and could connect with better. I think that's why I like C a lot, at least.
My toughts: I think you should play a way more with the "hair". At the moment her default hair is a way bigger and, in terms of gameplay, the character shape it's going to be missed a lot. Also I think that playing with that could bring her an awesome luxury feeling!
H is my favorite one, but I think the turquoise (sp?) lines are making it hard to read the shape of the individual pieces, but I really like the way you shaded those metal pieces in C. So I guess my favorite would be H with the metal quality of C ^^
Hair in H is also my favorite because it keeps the wide silhouette of the original.
Naga Siren moves a lot. She is probably the most animated character in the game. (I don't know if you've played Dota 2 or not, a lot of people on this forum haven't) so keep that in mind when designing for her. The waist point is always moving in the idle animation.
I concepted a set for Naga Siren (not for the contest) and the modeller almost had a gun to his head trying to figure out the rig. If you're curious to see what we came up with click here.
With all of that aside, H is by far the best one. And stick with the blues, don't touch the red ones you did earlier. Maintaining the characters color scheme is incredibly important.
hmm sleeves could work! PERSONALLY I prefer armor plating on the arms, just because she does get up close and personal to slice things up, and armor is siiiiiiiiiiic. I really like the gold thing surrounding her body though.
Started modeling on the headdress, dynamesh is freaking amazing, never imagined it could change the way I look at zbrush (never used it before until today)
anyway, here is the wip, I tried to stick to the concept on the previous page as best as I could, but made some small changes.
That is some sweet looking octohead there. I thought you were just going to do the tentacles, but you've done the entire bulbous head sac. I don't know anything about DOTA2's character capabilities, but can you get some jiggle bones on that mess?
small sign of life, took the week off to work on this.
Todo are the bracers, her swords and and the back of the hip armor. after this, retopo, uving, baking etc. hope to have the bakes done before the end of the week so I will have the weekend to get everything loaded into dota2
Due to technical difficulties me and the wife decided the competition was over for us. Seems we made it a bit too difficult for ourselves to finish in time. Fear not! This set will be thrown in the workshop and we will dedicate many hours to begging on the steps of Valve, so people can buy it.
As a teaser we give you the High poly model... Enjoy and you will buy this in the future, due to it's awesomeness
And just try not to finish this!!
I encourage your wife to kick your ass if you will spend to little time making this!
And as far as technical difficulties that is why we have this community here on Polycount to take technical difficulties right back to oblivion
Even if you didn't finish in time, I can still see this in game at some point if you finish it, submit it to the workshop, doesn't have to be part of the contest for you guys to be winners anyway ( not winners of this contest but you know what I mean )

Great concepts and presentation, good luck!
I also like Isobel's armor D

I dislike the fins in K and L. Looks too much like a pair of childish pigtails.
though J is looking good too!
Nice stuff.
I love em (the mini pieces op sleeve above the wrist armour) but does anyone back me up in this?
went for an octopus type head like isobel concepted above, still working on the bottom part.
