[DOTA2] - Faceless Void - Void Knight

Heck yeah Chee. Nice, looks cool so far especially the broken helmet. Not sure I'm sold on the eyeballs though and think he might look better without them.

You could separate the shoulder piece so that the mouth can open and close when he moves his arm. Great concept, keep at it!

i really like where its going but currently between the pallet and the lines it is very reminiscent of sven's armor. Maybe a change in color would bring it back to void, maybe some of those greens he's known for.

I kind of agree with this.

Apart from the palet, maybe another weapon more in tone with the armor would be better. Keep up the good work

Be careful with this one. The silhouette is starting to look a little like Sven, with the knight hood and all.

Thanks for all for all the positive feedback, this contest is growing fast. The color pallete and silhouette is leaning towards sven a tad. I change the color and add back some greens, it helps, great feedback. I like the eye, kinda go with the faceless thing, dunno. scribble a quick one without the eye. Going to fix issue in the 3d phase.

I like the one without the eye better. Maybe instead, add another mouth like on the shoulder but closed so it's only the exposed teeth (of course as a helm decoration, not actual mouth)

i like the idea of replacing his mouth with an eye. but now it seems to be distracting for the overall design, i would suggest u make it smaller or find an alternative way of showing the eyeball. good design!~

Hey Chee, love the helmet design, it's got a great shape, it's the best design i've seen yet for a FacelessVoid helmet, even the already accepted ingame items.

Also I think the weapon design from the first image is a stronger shape and will hold up better ingame from a distance.

I like the eye and mouth, he can have the eye and still technically be faceless. If it were animated to look around like it was searching/hunting for something that would be perfect.

Very important about Faceless Void is that he does not have eyes, that's why he's unaffected by his ultimate. Maybe the helmet can cover his entire face.

Excellent concept. I agree with Lennyagony about the closed mouth on the shoulder piece. I also agree with Anux that you'd better finish this.

Man...this looks fantastic! Really loved the alien like concept. One of my favorites so far.

I agree with the fact of the faceless void don't have eyes. It looks pretty cool with this green eye, but it don't fits the hero's concept. Other problem is the animation. The eye would be static, which wouldn't be very interesting.

Keep it up man! I'm making a faceless void set too. Check it out later

Not really, he's unaffected because he's unaffected by the rift due to his origin. Nothing to do with his eyes, really.

I'm still in this! just finish crunching, so going to spend some extra time on it. gotta finish this since Steph decide to start on her eight one already. Gonna stick with the eye for now, if it doesnt work i can easily swap it out. the plan is to use the mouth bone as eyelids

mock out the weapon in zbrush, tweaked it again..... Rough 3d is all in, missing the cloth piece for the belt. One more pass for detail and polish, and on to retopo!
