Hey guys, i came up with the idea; Slardar is a survivor from the Jurassic era. Here are my first idea sketches of the head~ i would love to know what you think about it =D
That head make it looks dangerous than he is now I can imagine him holding a bone crafted weapon, or maybe with some scales built in too?

I like how your design takes Slardar's head away from the smooth curves an adds a little roughness to a hero that needs it. TBH, I think Slardar is one of the worst designed heros in the game, sstill pretty damn badass, but if you compare him to some of the other heros, he doesnt quite hold up, mainly because there aren't a lot of nice details on him. So it's really nice to see you work this way, not giant , sweeping changes, just subtle details and additions that are building on the base concept, not completely changing it. Bravo, can't wait to see how this develops further!
thx guys! what i hope to do is to bring out the rawness of slardar. This is what i come up with, i love to hear any comment that can help me boost my design furthur! I need some advice on any technical difficulty i might be facing too~ xD
Really nice concept but I'm a bit afraid that a lot of the detail might be lost because of the limitations in poly count and maps size. I would suggest pushing the silhouette of the skull on the weapon a bit more instead so your design doesnt rely too heavily on the high frequency detail.

Hmm, I don't think any one of them works as a weapon just by itself. I think what you should do is make a couple of concepts of weapons that are made from these things in your reference but not JUST that one thing. For example, a weapon where a bone from #2 is the handle and 4x the lower mouth shape from #3 forms the mace head or something like that. Don't limit yourself to doing EXACTLY what the references are, come up with a fun and interested design BASED on the references but stylize it.
thx alot for the feedback i am concern about the silhouette being too messy when i mess it around, now i will try to pick one as the main base and mix others around it
