I want to use Blender for the Dota 2 cos, Contest

Hi,

Im new to this Forum so spare on me if i hit the wrong section for this thread.

My question is:
Can i do proper Items for the contest with just:
- Blender
- Photoshop

so is it possible?
Because it looks like i can not use the mask1 and mask2 in blender ..

You should of posted here, http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106229&page=3 and yes blender and photoshop is fine. Masks just control how a material behaves, if you have a material editor in blender you should be able to set it up to work how it uses it in game. But really, you can preview all this stuff when you are submitting it or just testing it.

The only hard requirements if you need to be able to save out .tga's and either a .DMX .SMD or .FBX file. Any software that can export the right formats is file.
