Another update, pretty much done with the model for the axe, couldn't make the spine quite as cool as I wanted, ran outa polys, but I can throw in a few more links in the other view-distance since you get fifty more polys.

I agree the handle being a square isn't what I wanted it to be, but the poly limit is only 350 and I'm just barely under it, 340-something as I recall. I even deleted all geometry inside the skull and the undersides of the spine and stuff but just couldn't find enough polys to add detail to other areas
Though I don't think it's too big of an issue, up close like this it doesn't look the best, but you cant really tell it's a box at in-game distance and thats what really matters, I will post an in-game distance shot in a sec.
Was rather meaning if a poly mean a quad or a triangle. If it meant quad we would all have double the budget since a quad is the same as two triangles. My entry is also full of quads xD
You can import a non-triangulated fbx and it will work when the tris are overbudget. But I am not sure if that is intended or not.
I do believe that's the question of the ages - Whether we're counting in Tris or Ngons makes a pretty big difference in budget. And I'd hate to have a submission denied because it's within spec when imported but over-budget for the contest.

The Lod1 poly limit is 350, but the Lod0 is 400. You could use the 350 one for in-game but have an extra 50 polies for when being previewed.

i really like the concept of the axe, not sure if it fits sk, but in the game there is a sword for axe and an axe for omni...
