With a new set of updates today comes a new video on exporting a scene from 3ds Max into Source.
Keys:
- Export World Geometry
- Export 2d Sky Texture
- New method for the 3D Skybox (simplifies process)
- Animated Textures (both animated and scrolling)

Also, the
sample scene for the video can be downloaded here so that you can play with some of the techniques (for example, the scene also has decals, a model with refract, etc ... and you can learn about the animated textures in Slate). There is nothing fancy in the actual level, models or textures in the video or file... they are provided as examples and samples on how to perform various simple tasks. The video skips exporting the models since I've already covered that so much in other videos.
I think this video is the first demonstration of the 3D Skybox functions I added to Wall Worm in the last year... which is one of the cooler features that I just never got around to demonstrating until now.
