Hello and thank you for stopping by
FINISHED IT UP!
Had a blast creating this one. He has 3 1024 maps (diffuse, grey spec and normals), 7.253 tris and is presented in xoliul2. I'm always amazed how many new things you learn when you're creating something new, sculpting techniques, ways to bake, texture techniques
**OLD POST: I'm going to delete this first images here, the sculpt WIP, but leave the image link.
I've chosen the blue drake, cause I'm a sucker for monsters with spikes and big teeth.

And this is what I have so far. I'm still 'blocking' him out, working layer by layer.

This is my first polycount thread, and one of my first posts. THIS FEELS GOOD, like some weird internet drugs.

Made him meaner and leaner, thanks to the feedback of some friends.
nevertheless a very good job :]
Thanks man
This is what I have for the sculpt so far, going to modify it a bit later on. The big shapes are set, so I can continue without a problem.
Started a quick retopo in zbrush that I'll be cleaning up in max. Zbrush is like a happy retopo place, and this is how you get in: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Fdog0y9jVQ"]Retopologizing in ZBrush - YouTube[/ame]
are you going to rig/pose it as well?
@ Hannes, thanks, I'll probably quickpose it in zbrush, using the translation tools
I've been busy working on my portfoliosite and doing school assignments, so it has been awhile since I worked on the Arenanet interntest. God bless delayed deadlines:)
The sculpt is a bpr with hazardous matchap. The other one is a screengrab in max2012 using xoliul2.0. Enjoy
*Diffuse map, normal map, specular map (grayscale), alpha map (1-bit) – each 1024 x 1024
*Optional: Reflection map mask to adjust environment reflections
These are the 3 'limitations' you have to watch out for. Btw, you still have plenty of time to get yours done, so instead of worrying you should be working!
