Polycount LA /SoCal Meetup Oct2012

Hey,

I was wondering if anyone is interested in a Polycount Meetup/Bar night in LA this month or early November?

First suggestion: Friday, October 19th and somewhere around Venice/Santa Monica/Marina Del Rey for some Drinks and Dinner?

I suggested Friday because fewer people have to get to work on a Saturday morning and it would allow for more people from outside LA to come into town. If it's too busy though, feel free to suggest another day!

Thursdays are good for me, but Fridays seem like the best choice based on the reasons you gave. We'll see what other people have to say. If everyone's cool with Friday, I'll see what I can do to make it to the meetup.

sony hosts the game dev drink up every second Thursday of the month. its always at McCabes bar and grill on santa monica blvd, in santa monica. more info here,

i am usually always there, its taking place this thursday. happy hour prices till 11, first 50 people there get a ticket for a free drink. recently they have chiptune artists playing music.

Meetup on the westside? Im down. Bars around Culver City: Backstage, Tattle Tale Lounge, Scarlet Lady, BottleRock, Culver City Hotel (might have a real name), etc.

Not gonna be around this weekend, but the future is more open.

I live right next to downtown culver city. Rocco's is good. Father's Office is also good.

Also Wurstküche in venice. Very good place.

actually I've heard about Wurstküche and would love to see that place. It seems to be a good place to get to without having to have wheels

I'd potentially be interested, but the closer we get it to Orange County the easier it is for me to get there. West LA on a Friday means even if I come in early to leave early I'm still driving a fuck of a long way.

never been to roccos.

We can't go to Father's Office because it is literally too crowded all the time. The last 3 times I have gone with just ONE other person, I have been unable to get a seat before my food arrived.

Wurstkuche has a good chance of having enough seats for us and it's awesome.

That works for me. I think Wurstküche is actually a pretty good place. Big long tables.

Yeah, Wurstküche sounds like it would work. Definitely better than Father's Office, that place is tiny as hell.

I'll come if it's there on the 26th at the evening at some point.

i will be there, its my companies Halloween party that day so i will probably show up predrunk. for all the kids in Irvine, traffic will be done by 7:30, you can be there 8:30 or 9 easy.

the spectrum has lots of awesome within. For me here in north san diego county, it's nothing too insane so long as the border patrol checkpoint ins't slowing anything down immensely. Then let's do another even farther down south for an SD county meet up! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
