3ds max Material Editor, 2 sided now showing up

so its checked as 2 sided but it doesn't wanna work. I tried dragging the material to another model and it worked. There is something wrong with this model but what?

could try right clicking with the object selected, clicking on 'properties', and ticking off backface cull which should show you what you want
