What i'm missing is the extra bling that should be possible with CE. Some better lighting and materials. Right now it looks pretty much identical to the original with very little hinting that it's rendered in CE. Of course that isn't necessarely a bad thing if it wasn't your goal to take the Portal look to the next level.
it looks better in movement with all the real time reflections on - ill post a vid soon. But your right i was basically trying to learn cry-engine and create a scene that matched the art of the hammer engine version
Hehe,yeah its me,Bjorn... :poly121:

Lol, why are all the switches "activated" but the door is closed? Do you have plans to actually make the switches active and the door open? Or was that just overlooked?

Everything made in Maya and textured in Photoshop - except the particles which are from the engine. Here are a couple assets
I think it looks pretty slick already!
Keep on going mate!
Are you planning on making this a playable piece? That would be awesome!
Good luck on this one
To answer your question no I'm done with this piece now. It was just a way to learn cryengine and wanna continue updating my folio with new art

I like the companion cubes, you obviously have a flair for props
Other than that, looks really good.
Yea it was a mistake I realised when I was done
