Hi, this week I started work on creating an environment based on the highlands of Scotland for my portfolio. I would much appreciate any feedback and critique anyone may have.
This is what I have so far:
I plan on adding some grass/shrubs and maybe rain and particles but I am unsure to what else?
Many thanks

But look at how repetitive your grass looks when you look at the hills it may start to look a little uninteresting
The terrain and terrain texture could do with a lot more variation though. Run it through something like World Machine! The grass has very visible tiling and the normalmaps are a bit too prominent.
One is the lighter green strip that seems to split the whole thing, it looks like the entire environment has had the lawn mower treatment, very cleanly as well.
Another is a diagonal highlight that creates an obvious grid pattern.
Also, not sure if it's the normal map, though that is my guess, but something is making it look more like material than grass cover.
Hope I could help.
How do I export the terrain from UDK to World Machine? I tried exporting the Height Map but how do I get this into World Machine? And then back into my UDK scene?
Thanks for the help!
