First trailer for Chris Sanders' follow up to How to Train your Dragon is up. Despite having a terrible name (although arguably not as terrible as How to Train Your Dragon) it's looking like it might another good one.

Thanks for the heads up I have yet to see any new trailers, I can always enjoy a nice 3D animated film.

How to train your dragon has It's own T.V. series now.

The Croods was GREAT! I really enjoyed it and my daughter loved it. She was entranced. We watched it in 3d and during the first fire scene there are fire particles floating through the air, My daughter reached out to try and grab one. IT WAS AWESOME!

What's the tone like? The more recent trailers have looked a bit more like Madagascar than How to Train your Dragon, with a focus on broad humour ahead of narrative.

Just back from seeing it. Better than I was expecting.

Some of the cloud/particle rendering was fantastic, looked a bit out of place in such a stylised film.

This may sound strange, but there's something about the art style or proportions that make me feel ill when I watch the trailer. I know that sounds rude and what not, but I only say it because I've never experienced something like that before, not because I'm trying to put it down. So weird. Seems like a neat movie otherwise.

I quite dubious about this movie as some 3D animation movies are just made for the sake of it. But if you guys recommend it, I’ll try my best to see it.

it was awesome. best movie of the year so far, few movies i come out smiling and talking about it after. hah

I was doubtful but still went to see it yesterday and was really surprised in a good way. I liked every bit of it: From the character/creature design to the (pretty simple and straight forward) story line and, of course, the humor. Also the lighting was gorgeous in so many shots! I'm also glad it's doing well at the box office. I really don't want to see another mass lay off happening again.

I'm still not overly sure about this one, given the business with Chris Sanders only being involved with part or it. How strong is the narrative when compared to How to Train your Dragon?

Was a bit worried at the start as it was just stuff from the trailer but then it really opened up. Really enjoyed it looked real in places aswell!!!! Loadsa fun

Movie is solid. I like it as much as i liked How to Train Your Dragon. It has good pacing, it tells the story so well, and characters develop in a very nice way.

I was a little concerned with Nicolas Cage as the main man, since he doesn't come across as a brutish dad.... but he won me over as the movie progressed.

It's a really nice movie. I recommend it. It's not only a good story, but its beautiful. Colorful, the lighting is amazing, and the locations are breathtaking. Also, their animal designs are pretty fun and awesome. I was happy i watched this on theaters. I migth go back and watch it in 3D.

I had doubts about this movie too but still went to go see it. It' actually not bad at all. The GI radiosity is excellent although the smoke and particle effects seemed too realistic for such a stylized movie. Loved it nonetheless!

My family and I loved it. We were still laughing and talking about it on the drive home.
