Little bit of background - worked as a visual fx artist at Cryptic Studios for over 3 1/2 years, primary work was on Champions Online, with some assistance given to Star Trek Online and early dev on Neverwinter. My reel from that work's viewable
here. Dropped off the game art scene after getting the boot from that job, but some recent events made me decide to give it another go.
Having to essentially relearn fx from scratch with a new toolset (UEd3) is gonna be rough, but hell, I taught myself UEd2 fx (and a whole bunch of other stuff), so I gotta do it.
Input (whether crits or helpful links) is welcome and appreciated, as are suggestions for things to try. Hopefully will have something basic to show within the next week.
