I'm in, I need the practice! I hope we do modular environments and high poly sub-division modeling or sculpting of props as well as interior and exterior environments.
Any "pros" out there looking to help us. We will plan to start this first challenge within a few days. If you are interested please post below so we know how many of us we are.
Nice idea! I think we should start with something easy like a single prop. Not a whole environment I mean. What about "medieval window" or "fantasy weapon"?
The rules will be posted in the main thread once we figure out how we will do this. This thread is just to see if anyone is actually interested.
I was thinking we can separate into teams, each works under different "pros". Also each team will work on a different concept,, everyone on that team contributing to different parts of the concept. After each round we can randomize the teams so that we can work with new people plus under a different "pro". Maybe for the first round we can split into 2 teams since there are not a lot of us. What do you guys think.
If you guys have any ideas or any specific rules you want for the contest please post them below. The main issue right now is getting the pros to help us out,, we have none yet.
I will be starting the main thread tomorrow, I have a lot of ideas an I'm finding good concepts as well and I'm gunna talk to CD and we'll make some rules.
So after talking with Alex I think we will be focusing on one concept, each person recreating it within a 1 month timeline. We are talking about having the first round focused on an outdoor scene, we are also in the middle of choosing the concept right now. We will try this format to keep things simple and make changes were they are needed later.
If you have any suggestions please post them below, you could also pm me or Alex.
