[Maximo Contest] AlbinLundahl - Coal Miner Zombie

Hey polycount! Thought I'd try to squeeze in this contest in between my classes, never tried anything like this. It sounds like great fun!

For now, I've made a really rough sketch (although it took me long enough) just to try to get a feel of what I want to do. Now that I look at it, I think it might be too basic, I wanna challenge myself with the design. But anyway, here it is.



Might change the concept altogether (hope you can change title of thread), but whatever I choose I will now go back to collecting references, making moodboards, to block out what I want to do.

I'd really appreciate some feedback, so feel free!

I like the idea. Maybe you can replace the shovel with a pickax, if you're feeling uncomfortable with the shovel.

Maybe! Gonna play around with more ideas, go back to making thumbnails, thinking something cool will pop up.

I like the pickaxe idea... With a bloodied face blackened by coal... Could be really interesting texture-wise actually.
