Hello!
I am gifted with some extra spare time and thought I should look into FX Fluid systems. And I thought that I'd go ahead and ask you guys and girls which one would be the best?
My goal is to bake this FX out onto a texture sheet and use it in a game related FX system.

Alternatives are Naiad, Houdini, or Blender.
Whatever you use, you are most likely going to want to be able to render out a normal/reflect/refract pass from your fluid sim, so it's worth keeping that in mind. As long as you can mesh it, you should be fine.
