Boiler Pipeline Exercise

Hey folks,
I'm still on the quest for learning how to have better pipeline optimization with modeling my game assets. I'm at the stage to export my models out of Maya 2010 and into Roadkill for uv editing.

My question is do I export these models as groups or individuals? Same question for when I export into Zbrush and than UDK later.
