Hi! I'm having a hard time trying to match scale of two objects ( not as simple as the example below, but the same idea).
I can allign them properly, but their sizes never change.
Is there any way to do it? A maxscript/mel, perhaps?
Thanks!
You can't match the scale, using the Align tool, because the real scale of the two spheres are 100% by 3 axis.
I know two scripts that can help you. The first is free and you can get here.
The second is part of my Script Pack and it is commersial - you can find the link to it in my signature..
All objects start with the same scale on creation 100% regardless of their size.
So for example you create a sphere with a radius of 12 and another with radius of 112 they will both have the scale of 100%.
If you scale both of those objects in Object Space 200% they will still be proportionally different sizes.
If the larger one started out at the same size as the smaller then was scaled using object space scaling then using align/scale would work.
Note: You can see some more precise scaling, position and rotation numbers by right clicking one of the move, scale or rotate tools.
Thank you all for your help! miauu, the dimension script will most likely solve the issue I'm having, but i wouldn't rule out the possibility of buying you script pack. A lot of useful tools in there. (Btw, I also can't see your signature, but it was just a matter of clicking in your profile to find the link.)

Also M hit the nail on the head with the scripts.
Err... what signature?
Also, I came here to recommend your scale script... but you beat me to it. It's ideal for scenarios like the OP's.
I can see Mark Dygert signature.
Turns out this was ticked off (maybe by default? I don't remember ever fiddling with these settings.)
