Creature (obsessed)

I'm pretty much obsessed with creating creatures now, I always have been drawing them since a young age so i guess its nice to see them 3d. But in all honesty I'm looking for opinions on my latest W.I.P. (obviously isnt finished yet)

the anatomy is interesting. I can see you took real anatomy and tweaked it to make it more unique and creature-like which is cool.

i guess id say his muscles are way too defined as it doesnt feel like he has skin and fat, etc. also his teeth seems to have the same textural quality as the anger ripples on his forehead which doesnt help distinguish the different materials. Id make the teeth seem more bone-like. and his eyes are too flat

Thanks a lot man i know what you mean, but i'll try and sort it out to some extent ( i like the ripped look) But i agree about the teeth and eyes.:)

i like it. however , i can't imagine how his mouth closes. will he be able to chew?

also, without lips he'll be drooling all the time, but that can be part of the concept too heheh.

Thanks for the feed back, yeah i had a go moving the jaw the bottom overlaps the top but to be fair it makes him look more grim

Edit: also was wondering if any one had any ideas to make him more interesting? I'm pretty much lost for ideas, i don't want him to look boring and naked haha. I was thinking maybe giving him a human clothes so he can blend into crowds at night, like maybe a hoodie or something. Don't know I'm just ranting on haha.

a hoodie will cover too much of him. how about a big coat.

Wouldn't a big coat cover too much? I was thinking a hoodie with the sleeves rolled up and unzipped. Not too sure though need direction.

yeah but the coat can be open in the front on attack scenes and such.

maybe just chains and a ripped bottem like lifestealer dota2:P or just some worn shirt and shorts :P

@terry1337, That's a pretty rad idea man like the shorts idea, ripped denim shorts.

The pose is shit (just for fun) and the paint over is shit, but its just to give me a rough idea to stop him getting done for indecent exposure haha.

Might be cool to have a bit of asymmetrical attributes to it. I find that helps make 'scary' things look less cheesy

Yeah that would be cool man, its just thinking of something that's hard. Don't want to go with the armor idea either

What if he was fancy before and had a torn dress shirt and vest as well, like a transformed barkeep or something?

That's the thing man, just tried giving him some clothing and it looks terrible. And it kind of ruins the look of his torso. However I have changed the size of his arms, bulkier and longer. So was just wondering if people think i should keep or revert back?
