Hey,
First of all, posting the first thread on PolyCount forums,so hi
About the question i have,
I modeled a simple geometry from box and applied turbo smooth with one iteration, then sent it to Mudbox.I am subdiving the model but, model gets deformed and sculpting looks horrible because of that.I can just send the high poly model to Mudbox and sculpt it there which is working good.
What i want to do is,while i am sculping the model,i am changing the original shape a little so i need to lower the subdivision and get an low poly fbx output. But i cannot do that because of that deformation while increasing the subdivision and also cannot do that with high poly becuase i cannot decrease the subdivision levels when there is only one level
Here is the file, hope i did explain what i wanted to do,
Cheers

there is a check box in the fbx export dialogue called preserve edge orientation. turn this off, then it will import as proper quads.
Welcome:)
thank you for the reply, sadly it didn't solve the problem, here is what my mesh looks like after subdiving and sculping.
Hope this helps,
there is also a preset dialogue at the top of the exporter for mud box. if your really having problems just use that or an obj, or give me one sec and ill just upload the mudbox file for you.

Obj file format really worked great so far!
