Toy design in the game industry?
In my search for a job I try to expand my search to Polycounts members that works in companies that might have an interest in hiring industrial designer with experience and a love for toys?
It is my personal view that we have and will see more to the toy industry in the game area.
The growing game industry and the explosion of tablets and other hand-held devices is battling against the classic toy area.
This is the reason why I believe we see the big toy companies move into the game field.
Games/ toys like http://www.skylanders.com/ is only the beginning – and its my hope that I as a Toy designer / concept artist can find a place in this new merged industry!
It would be a major help if anyone knew of companies that might move in thise areas and therefore in need of people that understand the game and toy industies.
