Hey there, i dont know whether this is the right forum for my question to ask
ive been searching for hours now but its hard to find the solution to a problem you cant define.
sooo:
ive been working on a face model recently and my problem shows both in the viewport and in the rendered images. ive applied some textures but still the surface of my mesh looks crooked.
ive tried some other render methods and the viewport shader with the same frustrating outcome >_>

Which you can find either via the "smooth" modifier, or in face/element mode of edit poly it will be in the main rollout.
It essentially controls what kind of edge will stop the smooth from progressing to the next face.
